Please note that I do not recommend locks, nor do I provide assistance in opening them. For advice getting started in locksport, I recommend the “University” at LockLab.com. For all other inquiries, email me (channel name at gmail). One final note - I usually receive over one hundred emails each day, and though I spend a couple hours a day answering emails, I can’t answer them all. Apologies in advance if your email is one that slips through the cracks.

Lmao LPL throwing a little bit of shade to the shit show that is New York recently
👍
He got that open quicker than my ex's leg at a bar.
THIS IS SO FUNNY AND EMBARRASSING FOR NYC. I"AM GLAD YOU SHOWED THEM UP. THEY ARE SO STUPID AND IGNORANT IN NYC. THE MAYOR WANTS TO MAKE ILLEGALS LIFEGUARDS THIS SUMMER. ANOTHER HIGH FIVE FOR 008........
Nothing like the police going: "These things are too tough to get through" to make me consider buying it.
Gratuitous, algorithm driving "comment". I don't have a question or anything relevant to share, but I liked your video enough to try and help you out a little. Here endeth the canned comment.
Law Enforcement Officers should be REQUIRED to learn lock picking and have a pick set on their person at ALL times to bypass locks when it is necessary. These dopes that go on television and make fools out of themselves due to poor training make me cringe when you know that LPL can defeat most locks in mere seconds.
I googled angle grider cut iff wheel accident and oh my god I will never look at that tool with trust ever again.....
Wait! The Pooooo-Leeeeece are lying (again)? Kudos to the Adams administration for yet another high point of living in NYC.😂😂😂
Great video. All the discussion about the requirement for this heavy duty bike chain lock in downtown New York, discounts the bike stealing activity as entrenched and unavoidable, which is surprising for an external observer. I recall the New York of the eighties, a lawful city at the time...
How is Bosnian Bill these days? I always liked the sound of his calming encouraging voice
Just to spell this out for any bootlickers in the audience: the NYPD is lying about this specifically to create a false narrative about protests being driven by “outside”/“professional” “agitators” to justify their brutal, violent crackdown on peaceful unarmed students exercising their first amendment rights. Pathetic, but par for the course with American cops.
You know, when the police complain about this, it makes you wonder why when they are forced to get into a building, they don't just have someone that is competent at lockpicking and such, especially given he admitted they had to cut through the chains, and it likely took longer then what LPL shows here. Sure there are times when kicking a door down is required, but fact is that is a minor amount of the time, compared to the simple fact that in most cases, they should just use the non-destructive method's that exist, given that these methods generally have less setup time.
Good to hear shout out to Bosnian Bill. Hope he is well ❤.
Send this video to the commissioner and tell him to get the pick equipment and the people to use it. And tell him to stop being so mentally lazy. Then students will realize the lock is not that great.
I think I'll stick to googling en passant, thsnks.
Haha you can’t take ANYTHING these fools from NYPD says as gospel!
sadly this isnt a case of lack of knowledge, this is malicious, knowing lying, he got confronted on this model of lock being recomended and sold by the school itself, and his reaction was to change his grip on the lock so you couldnt read the branding anymore and start ignoring the journalist.
1'50 minutes intro..40 sec unlock..50 sec outro 😂
tell me this is legal I will believe you
I saw his interview on MSNBC and I was really hoping the next question would be, "You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, do you?"
I work at Florida International University under a vendors contract. I have observed the theft deterrent options students use to secure their bikes, scooters, etc, as a professional curiosity. I haven't seen one of this kryptonite locks once. That tells me to stay the hell away from New York City and surrounding area at all costs, your life depends on it. If you have a death wish or want your life to change drastically and instantly in a negative way visit New York. Good luck
Remember kids, cops lie all the time.
Insert the meme of that cartoon of the guy who got their bike stolen and said "Overall Happiness Increased in the World".
You'd think the guy in charge of catching criminals would have at least a vague idea of how crimes happen and how they can be prevented...nah, who am I kidding.
Diamond wheels also produce far fewer sparks and wear a whole lot slower.
antisemite!
LPL has obviously already shown this lock, which means this is a rare lawyer video subtly disguised as the typical lockpicking video. LPL here, of course, playing the part of an expert in his field who is professionally dismissing the misrepresentation of a product that is being used as "evidence" to proport a specific narrative.
"Do a Google image search for angle grinder cutoff wheel accident." No, I don't think I will.
I'm noticing from the clip that the commissioner is not referring to the use of these locks in securing bikes, but in sealing the internal doors of a building during a protest. I don't think it invalidates the points about NY students needing beefed up locks to protect their bikes, but when EMS is having to risk "angle grinder accidents" and protestors are at risk of one bad actor setting fire to the building while they have locked themselves inside.. I get where the concern is coming from on both sides. Clearly something is wrong and needs to be done.
obligatory comment ...... here
I just came across two locks similar to this one. Since the keys were M.I.A., and my brother was deceased, my solution was to use my small bolt cutters to cut through the cable. The cable was a joke to cut.
thank you, another embarrassment for idiot cops everywhere.
Naaaah, in NYC you would obviously just leave your bike unlocked, because in such a paradise you share your bike with everyone!
I live in NYC and tons of student use chain locks by kryptonite and many go to the hardware store and by 10mm hardened steel chain and an American lock and use that. If you've ever been to NYC youa know how extremely popular that more affordable setup is. You seee it on every street. This cops has absolutely no idea what he's talking about. I can't believe this person is from nyc, he's a pathological liar like Trump
I spend 185 euros on my second hand bike, and 120 euros on locks, it’s always outside in a shady neighborhood and I don’t want it to get stolen…
That, or keep fascist cops out.
i start to wounder how often do you break your picks?
nypd, kkk, idf, they're all the same
have your bike and keep it too..
LPL supporting Israel💀 Seriously?. Smh my head
I think the issue here is students used the chains to keep doors closed in protest.
THE RETURN OF THE BOSNIAN BILL LOCK
The police are the most ignorant "professionals" I've ever seen in any job. It's hilarious how little they know. They are unaware of the actual laws they're supposed to enforce. They are unaware of basic bike lock technology and trends. They are unaware that being randomly violent to the innocent is frowned on. At this point I am not sure the police know anything at all...
IS THERE A LOCK YOU CANNOT PICK❓❓❓
What about the shackle? Is it hard to cut as well?
Liberal media and liberal public servant gets it wrong what a surprise
not to mention it was one of the FEW bike locks the school said was allowed to be used on campus in the paperwork they send out before classes start. so yah if EVERY student had one....I WONDER WHY.
Clearly, they had professional agitators. The lock used proves nothing. Arresting and a background check is how you find people getting paid to demonstrate.
I have a huge scar on my thigh from a cutoff wheel accident… Missed an artery by a half inch, when the wheel bound and shattered sending a blade shaped chunk through my denim jeans and into my thigh… I use a plasma cutter for everything now, all my grinder wheels went in the trash…
